How to Dress Cool for Summer

With temperatures rising sky-high during summer, you need to wear the right clothes to keep cool and look great. First, choose light-coloured clothes. They reflect light and warmth rather than absorb it, making you look radiant while keeping you cool. Next, wear clothes that are made of sheer, lightweight fabrics that allow your skin to breathe. Examples of ideal materials are polyester, cotton, and linen. You can also wear outfits made of high-tech synthetics that wick away sweat, making you feel comfortable and cool all the time.

Wear clothes that allow air to circulate. Tank tops, sundresses, loose t-shirts, sundresses, miniskirts, lacy skirts, and shorts are good choices as they have large openings that allow air to go in between your skin and the garments’ material.

For your footwear, put on loafers, heeled sandals, and open toe shoes that expose much of your feet’s skin in the air. Avoid boots and high-shin shoes because they trap heat as well as restrict air movement. Finally, don on a wide-brimmed hat to shade yourself from the sun. A baseball cap is also good but it does not offer as much shade as the wide-brimmed hat.
