The first thing that is required of a clothing shop manager is his or her expertise in fashion. He or she needs to be well-informed and well-educated about everything pertaining to fashion. Most clothing store owners would require their managers to have adequate experience in the kind of business that they do.
A manager should also be an effective team player, is knowledgeable about what drives various customers in buying different styles of clothing and the quality of clothing that most people would want to buy. A manager will also need to have a good deal of hands-on supervision, thus knowing who to hire for the job, how to train them and when to fire incompetent employees.
